Why did you start Little Moy?
Following the birth of her first child, our Founder paid close attention to children’s wear in terms of safety—ensuring that fabrics were gentle on her little one’s sensitive skin. She found that the choice of organic brands in children’s clothing were not only limited, but lacking in quality, vivid prints and affordability. That sparked her decision to create her own line; she then resigned from her finance career and concentrated solely on Little Moy. During her fabric research, she discovered that she was expecting her second child; She was incubating the child and the brand at the same time. In fact, with the coinidence of birth of her second child and launch of Little Moy, she considers them as twins who will grow together and be close to her heart.

What is Organic Cotton? What are the benefits?
You’ve probably heard the stats before – 1/3 of a pound of chemicals, including pesticides, chlorine bleach, formaldehyde, ammonia, lead, and phthalates among others, can go into the production of a single conventional tee shirt. These chemicals have a negative impact on the environment, the workers in the fields and factories, and ultimately the wearer of the tee shirt.
Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, which means there’s no chemical residue in the fabric. That’s extremely important to us since our fabric is snuggling your baby’s soft + sensitive new skin.
Additionally, we do not spray our blankets or garments with any fire-retardants, making everything formaldehyde free. Our fabrics have never been processed with — nor do they contain — phthalates. And finally, all of our buttons + snaps are lead and nickel free.
We take your baby’s safety very seriously.
What does GOTS certified organic cotton mean?
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. The standards are very high and we constantly ensure that we meet and exceed these standards.
GOTS is the highest level of certification available for organic fabrics. In order to receive certification, products are evaluated throughout the manufacturing process — from their very beginnings as raw materials to their final fabrication as garments or blankets.
It forbids the use of harmful pesticides, toxic heavy metals, and chlorine bleach. It requires that all dyes meet safety requirements on toxicity and biodegradability.
A Little Moy product should feel as good to you as it does to your baby.
Are all products on your website 100% organic cotton?
All of our clothing are made with GOTS certified organic cotton. Almost all of our styles are made with 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. Only few styles, such as leggings, are made with 95% GOTS certified organic cotton and with 5% Elastane to allow the fabric to stretch. You can find material details in wash care labels of each ordered item and also on our website (click description on the product page).
You can always find product material content in the description box on the product page.
What is Elastane and why do you use it in few products?
Elastane is a variant of Spandex, which is a synthetic fiber known for its exceptional elasticity and awesome applications in apparel production. In fact, stats show that an estimated 80% of clothing sold in the U.S. contain Spandex.
